AfterWorks 2019-2020: Application Instructions

Thank you for your interest in the Aspen Music Festival and School's AfterWorks programming: Beginning Strings, Lead Guitar, Maroon Bel Canto Children's Chorus, and Maroon Bel Canto Singers. We look forward to making music with you soon!

Do you already have an AMFS student account (for the student registering for participation)?

Registration Instructions

To apply for 2019-2020 AfterWorks programming:

STEP 1: Click on the "AfterWorks Registration" link below for the program in which you would like to participate.

STEP 2: Log in to your existing AMFS student account.

If you already have an AMFS student account (through applying for a past P.A.L.S. or AfterWorks program or through registering for another 2019-2020 AfterWorks program), please log in using your existing account information.

Parents: Registering for multiple children? Read below for IMPORTANT information!

STEP 3: Use the 2019-2020 AfterWorks registration links on this page (below) to complete registration for an AfterWorks program: Beginning Strings, Lead Guitar, or Maroon Bel Canto Choirs.

After logging in to your AMFS student account, do NOT start an application for "2020 AMFS" through the "Select an application type" drop-down, as you'll be applying for the AMFS's 8-week summer program for professional and pre-professional musicians.

Create an AMFS student account as a first-time user: On the Login page, use the "Click HERE to create a new account." link at the bottom of the page to create your AMFS student account.

VERY IMPORTANT!: Be sure to create the account with the STUDENT'S first name, last name, and birth date, NOT the parent's.

Attention: PARENTS: If you are the parent of a student applying for an AfterWorks program, please complete all information as you create the account specific to the STUDENT APPLICANT, not to you as the parent (i.e. the "Name" and "Birthdate" fields should be your student's name and birthdate, not your name and your birthdate).

You will enter your email address, student name, and student birthdate, and will then be emailed a temporary PIN. Enter this temporary pin to complete the account creation process.

STEP 3: Return to this page and use the 2019-2020 AfterWorks registration links to complete registration for an AfterWorks program: Beginning Strings, Lead Guitar, or Maroon Bel Canto Choirs.

After creating an AMFS account, do NOT start an application for "2020 AMFS" through the "Select an application type" drop-down, as you'll be applying for the AMFS's 8-week summer program for professional and pre-professional musicians.

Registering Multiple Children?

Parents: Will you be registering multiple children for AfterWorks participation (in Beginning Strings, Lead Guitar, OR Maroon Bel Canto Choirs)?

Registering Multiple Children?

Parents: If you have multiple students registering for an AfterWorks program and have not yet created AMFS student accounts for each of them, you will need to complete a new account for each student. Do NOT start a second registration for the same AfterWorks program within one account, as you'll simply be creating two registrations for the same child.

Applying for more than one child...
Follow Steps 1, 2, and 3 above to create an AMFS student account (or log in to your existing account) and complete registration for your first child.

After completing one registration process, create a registration form for your next child by first logging out of the application system for your first child’s account (simply close AND quit the browser).

Begin the process again:

Click on the AfterWorks program in which you would like to participate.
Do NOT log in using your existing account.
Create an account, as a first time user, to start a new registration.
You can use the same email address you used for first child’s account, but enter your second child’s name and birthdate to link the account directly to the second child and not to the first.

Applying for twins...
Follow Steps 1, 2, and 3 above to create an AMFS student account (or log in to your existing account) and complete registration for your first twin.

After completing one registration process, create a registration form for your next twin by first logging out of the application system for your first child’s account (simply close AND quit the browser).

Begin the process again:

Click on the AfterWorks program in which you would like to participate.
Do NOT log in using your existing account.
Create an account, as a first time user, to start a new registration.
YOU MUST USE A DIFFERENT EMAIL ADDRESS than you used for your first twin’s account. Then enter your second twin’s name and birthdate to link the account directly to the second twin and not to the first.
- Triplets or Quads or More (oh my!)?: Repeat as needed from the beginning of the Twins instructions.

BEGINNING STRINGS - Click HERE to register!
- Beginning and intermediate violin, viola, and cello instruction for grades 1-5, and chamber music instruction for students in Black-Diamond level and beyond (all ages)

LEAD GUITAR - Click HERE to register!
- Classical guitar instruction for grades 4 and up

MAROON BEL CANTO CHOIRS - Click HERE to register!
- Maroon Bel Canto Children's Chorus: A classic children's choir for grades 3-5
- Maroon Bel Canto Singers: Select choral ensemble for grades 6-8
